Built for the first credible workflow
UK small suppliers generally have no direct CSRD or ESRS reporting duty of their own. For CSRD reporting purposes, the EU value-chain cap limits what in-scope companies can require from suppliers with fewer than 1,000 employees to the Voluntary Standard (Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1560, in force since 24 September 2026 and applying to financial years starting on or after 1 January 2027), with narrow exceptions. A buyer may still ask for more for other reasons, so check each request; this is not legal advice. They need to know which buyer questions matter, what evidence is good enough for the current stage, and where they should strengthen next.

An operator, finance lead, advisor or procurement reviewer should be able to understand every answer, status and download. If Vertapass cannot explain why something is included, it should not ask for it silently.
